Limit Your Verbal Blunders at the Workplace

Employee Conflicts in the WorkplaceAt times, we would always hate our immediate superior or supervisor and criticize them for their manner of managing a department. While most of us are given the freedom to air out our concerns with the personnel department of our companies, just make sure that they are proper and legal.

There are some internal corporate conflicts that may sometimes be petty and worthless. This often stems from the fact of taking their orders immaturely. Remember that managers are put into a spot as far as overall performance is concerned. That is why sometimes, they seem to be very edgy and will always carry a hot head to office or even use foul mouth language against you.

Just the same, consider your limitations. Don’t push your luck and consider for a fact that they have some power over you since they are your superior. You can complain and air your sentiments freely. But learn how and when to say them to stay out of trouble. Avoid the verbal blunders which can cost you your job.

Even if you work at a small company with 1 percent of GE’s revenue, there are certain verbal blunders you should avoid at all cost:

    1. “I’ll have to get back to you on that.”
    2. Making fun of a corporate program.
    3. Something you find funny.
    4. “That can’t be done.”

    Office Humor: Rubber Bands

Here is something for most employees and office workers to watch out for. At times you just have to think logical before squeezing in most of the papers and envelopes to be shipped somewhere.

Be careful. You may end up spilling everything including yourself.
