Multiple Bloggers Wanted for News Blog

The Inquisitr is looking for Multiple bloggers for a large news blog:

The Inquisitr is looking for new bloggers to help cover our diverse range of news related topics.

Our ideal blogger will have some experience blogging, although blog network or large site experience isn’t necessary. You should be able to work independently, including sourcing suitable content for posts, and editing your own work prior to publication. Writers aren’t expected to cover all topic areas, but do have the flexibility to write in different subject areas should they wish. You should also have a reasonable sense of humor, be occasionally snarky, and be fairly broad minded when it comes to content. The ability to write a straight news post, and then throw in an opinion post is a plus.

You will be expected to write at least 5-10 posts a week, although the more you write, the more you could potentially earn. Posts must be a minimum of three paragraphs per post, with the occasional exception (for example, a video or funny pic).

In return, we’ll teach you where to find content, what content works well, and the best ways to present that content on the site.

These newly created positions offer compensation of US$1.50 per one thousand page views, paid monthly via Paypal only. Initially we are looking for 2-3 bloggers, and possibly more later should the first bloggers work well. One position will be set aside specifically for a writer in the United Kingdom or Europe (to cover the night shift) or a writer who would prefer to write Friday through Sunday US time (to cover weekends.)

Your application should include a resume, links to your work online, how many posts you would be willing to contribute weekly (roughly), and why you think you’re up to the job. Note that given our last experience in advertising a position, we may not be able to respond to each application, however if you are unsuccessful we will keep your details of file for future opportunities.

About the Inquisitr:
The Inquisitr launched in May 2008 and has grown to be a Technorati Top 250 blog. In February we delivered 2.35 million page views, and recently passed the 10 million page views mark since launching. We currently cover the following areas: Tech (including web and gadgets), Entertainment (celebrities, TV and movie news), News and Sport (specifically large events in both), Media Industry and Odd + Funny (funny and odd news).
