We are looking for a knowledgeable, insightful, and passionate blogger who is active and well informed about local social responsibility and community causes. We are striving to build a trusted online community that empowers people to reduce injury and promote safety and well-being, and be more cause-oriented.

They should have excellent writing and editing skills for an online audience, and be familiar with HTML and blogging content management tools.

We will be providing regular news articles for the blogger to comment and to engage readers with. The applicant will also be expected to write original content such as from research and/or personal experiences. These articles should be written in a conversational style which elicits discussion with our online audience.

Requirements and Skills:
1) Be active or be up to date with local news, and local community and social causes
2) Knowledge and understanding of current editing, authoring tools, and related blog technologies
3) Familiar with word processing, blogging, and internet software
4) General knowledge of html, web development and maintenance
5) Proofreading and editing skills
6) Present professional but friendly presence with blogsphere colleagues and throughout the internet
7) Act as ambassador and liaison for company with the online community. For example, participating on online forums, portals, and/or discussion boards
8 ) Be motivated and self-driven and must be able to provide prompt submissions on set deadlines
9) Be active on various social marketing channels such Twitter and Facebook
10) Nice to have if candidate has a Journalism, Communications, or Public Relations background
