The VH1 Blog (http://blog.vh1.com), devoted to covering all things related to VH1 programming on a 24/7 basis, is looking for a part-time freelance blogger to work from home for up to 28 hours per week. The ideal candidate has previous experience blogging about television, including recaps and news posts. The ability to interview talent and work with images is also essential. We’re looking for someone who has keen editorial judgment, the ability to look at traffic data to help determine what will appeal to our audience, a deep knowledge and understanding of VH1’s on-air sensibility and history (specifically, its reality TV programming), and the ability to synthesize many different skills (writing, working with images, possible video editing), sometimes within a single post. Also required: light HTML and knowledge of SEO best practices. Candidates must have their own computer with Photoshop, and have the ability to take screen shots from DVDs.
