We are looking for new bloggers to help us cover the growing industry of home improvement, DIY and green building.
Do you already read Charles & Hudson and would like a place to share your ideas and inspirations with a large community of remodeling enthusiasts? Are you healthily obsessed with home improvement? Think you would like to join our team? If this is you, read on for more details.
We’d really like someone who’s in touch with one of the following industries: home improvement, tools, kitchens, green building, painting or home security. Preferably the candidate already writes their own blog or has previous print writing experience.
Responsibilities include daily/weekly posting of original content.
This is a part-time, freelance position (1-2 posts per day) and it’s great (but not required) if your other gigs plug you into the home design or remodeling scene in some way.

A lifestyle magazine based in Chicago is looking for writers who have connections to the underground scene:
We are a monthly start-up magazine focusing on innovative art, music, theatre, literature and cultural events in Chicago. We are currently looking for a writer who is connected to these underground scenes. If you are a creative writer constantly attending artistic events not covered by major media outlets, we are looking for you.
Qualifications`:
1) Must live in Chicago or near suburbs.
2) Ability to write 3-5 500-1000 word articles per month.
3) Experience with meeting strict deadlines.
3) Knowledge and interest in non-conventional literature, art, music, theatre, and more in Chicago.
4) Prior experience writing for an online magazine is preferred.
5) Bachelor’s degree (or pursuing one) in Journalism, English, Fine Arts, or related field is preferred but not required.
6) Knowledge of AP style is a plus.
