what is sho’fr?
sho’fr is an online community of automotive enthusiasts dedicated to performance and luxury automobiles. We help car owners find related service providers, dealerships, clubs and events in their own city. Besides just locating relevant services, auto enthusiasts visit sho’fr to find ratings and reviews to help decide which shop they should trust their car to. Afterwards they return to leave their own review about their repair or upgrade experience.
who are we looking for?
sho’fr is expanding to include additional vehicle types. We are looking for a Site Manager to champion his or her vehicle of choice and build a directory of local service listings. This revenue sharing position will require significant telephone and email contact with businesses and customers across the nation, and thus can be based from anywhere.
To apply, you must be a self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit and have a passion for a specific performance or luxury automotive brand (BMW, Mustang, Ferrari, Volkswagen, Harley, etc.). This is a great opportunity for the recently retired, fresh out of college, or those looking to experience working with a startup internet company.
You must have a computer with an Internet connection and be able to use Google, Yahoo! Local, and other web search engines. Formal online or direct marketing experience is a plus. Your process starts by making long distance U.S. phone calls collecting information from related companies (you will not be selling anything!). You will create short, well written paragraphs about these auto service companies and verify their contact information. For examples, visit: http://corvette.shofr.com/sfbay/ Your focus will be to creatively market the sho’fr brand within your automotive community by reaching out to your existing network, online forums, blogs, clubs, and coordinating other Internet and print marketing efforts.
Additionally, you will be invited to write related automotive content to be published on the sho’fr blog. For examples, visit: http://blog.shofr.com/category/corvette/
how’s the pay?
Once we agree on your target vehicle, we will evaluate your strengths and the potential vehicle market. You will receive a set percentage (50% – 75%) of all revenue generated through your sho’fr vehicle. Your success will depend on how well you market sho’fr to your chosen marquee’s community.
Email us at jobs@shofr.com with the following information:
Your automotive brand of your choice (you should be an extreme fanatic or expert about this vehicle).
Write a short paragraph about yourself. For inspiration read about the current sho’fr team at http://shofr.com/about/.
After browsing sho’fr, write a few sentences about how sho’fr would be useful to your automotive community.
Include a picture of your ride and tell us about it.
Send along a resume if you like, but this is optional.
