We are a small production company working on a deal for a low budget cable TV series about technology. This will be a freelance gig with the potential of a staff job in an often fast-paced environment. We are looking for people who have any experience writing about technology for television or have a good understanding of consumer electronics and have written for TV before.

If your writing samples are not tech related, please explain your level of technical understanding. At times this may resemble a newsroom environment where you’ll resemble a reporter who has to do research and help come up with story ideas, write them well and in an entertaining way, and make a short deadline. Successful candidates will be prompt, informed, entertaining to read, and able to take constructive criticism and make changes in a timely fashion without a lot of arguing.

PS This is not writing technical instructions (though that’s part of it), 90% of the job is writing brief segments with dialogue to be spoken by hosts about consumer electronics.
