The ideal bloggers/writers should:
* Be interested in personal finance and money management (deep experience/expertise not necessary, curiosity and diligence is more important)
* Have a good understanding of personal finance related topics and be able to relay those ideas clearly and creatively in writing
* Be able to effectively utilize social media sites and tools like Twitter, Facebook, Digg, Tip’d, etc.
Bloggers are expected to write 2 articles per week (500 words each) and for the most part will have the freedom to explore any areas of interest in personal finance such as Budgeting, Savings, Debt management, Frugality, Retirement, Tips and other personal finance related topics.
The content has to be informative and clearly reflects the passion of the writer! All posts need to be quality, completely original and have an international focus. Once accepted and published, articles belong to PocketSmith and cannot be posted elsewhere.
This will be an ongoing job – starting base rate is $15 per article with potential for higher rates depending on growth of the blog and quality of writing. Monthly payment through PayPal. Bloggers can work remotely.
This is a fantastic opportunity for passionate finance writers to be part of a rapidly-growing innovative company with great potential!

With the relaunch of their site, CityBuzz is looking add bloggers into their site:
CityBuzz.com is re-launching their website and looking for bloggers in each of its cities to give information on the upscale, cool places for restaurants, nightlife, entertainment, shopping, and sightseeing. We are looking for people who can write 10 posts per month, covering at least one post in each topic. As we are a small team with many cities, we need writers who have a discerning eye and require little to no editing. The bloggers need to write in a professional manner with a hint of personality. The target audience is sophisticated yet trendy 25-55 year olds so the writing style and topic selection needs to reflect the demographic. CityBuzz is positioning itself as providing “insider” information so we would prefer people who could be classified as an insider, like an editor at a magazine or people already have a popular culture blog.
This will be a paid, ongoing position.
HOW TO APPLY
Please send resumes with a sample blog post and cover letter embedded into the e-mail to producers@vidicom.com with “Blogger Position” in the subject line.
