b5media is looking for anEntrepreneur/Startup Blogger:

** The Blog**
Startup Spark is an established blog on entrepreneurship and startups in
the b5media Business Channel. It has a steady traffic stream, has been
featured on digg multiple times, and has many subscribers. The blog has
close to 150 posts and a Technorati link of about 6,000. The blog has
grown every month since it was launched and is doing extremely well.

**The Blogger**
The blogger should be both an experienced blogger and entrepreneur
and/or startup executive. We are looking for someone who can continue to
help grow and promote this terrific blog. You do not have to be an award
winning writer, but we are seeking someone who can write well. Someone
who has had experience working with and for startups and the like is
ideal. The blogger would be expected to be to write a minimum of 5 posts
per week, network with other bloggers, and keep the momentum going on
Startup Spark. This is a paid position (base pay + traffic bonus).

Medical Writer/Editor

A rapidly growing, well-established medical communications company is looking for a seasoned medical writer/editor to help create promotional programs for healthcare professionals. The editor will work with a medical director on multiple projects in various specialties.

Candidates must have 3 years experience writing and editing promotional content for healthcare professionals that incorporates the pharmaceutical client’s key strategic messages and approved prescribing information. This person will combine a knowledge of FDA/DDMAC regulations and the regulatory requirements of individual pharmaceutical companies with excellent writing skills and attention to detail. Demonstrated success working with pharmaceutical clients is key. Project management skills and the ability to work on multiple projects in a deadline-oriented environment are required.

This is a full-time position. No freelance inquiries please.

The office is located in Midtown Manhattan, but the employee will have the opportunity to work from home. This position comes with a competitive salary and benefits and significant growth potential.

Required Skills and Experience

• At least 3 years of medical writing/editing experience
• Undergraduate university degree in science, communications, journalism, advertising, or marketing (advanced degree a plus)
• Significant experience researching medical information online (eg, PubMed)
• Familiarity with FDA/DDMAC regulations and guidelines
• Ability to learn quickly and think both creatively and strategically
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Proven record for attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple projects at one time and meet deadlines without compromising attention to detail
• Capable of adapting to shifting priorities
• Self-motivated and team-oriented
• Solid familiarity with medical terminology and knowledge of AMA style
